Centralised Database All data in the Lincs database is shared amongst member councils. This ensures that there is no duplication of effort in the collection of information. Of course other members have no ability to alter any records you own.

Simple Record Maintenance Adding and editing records in the Lincs system is a very simple process. All editing is done via a series of simple web based forms so that new data is instantly available for searches.

Core Records Lincs comes primed with over 1000 records of a regional or state-wide application (as well as all the information contributed by other members). This further reduces the need to collect records outside of you own local area.

Public Web Search Engine Lincs enhances your current web presence by adding a sophisticated web search engine. While residents search the entire Lincs database they feel they have never left your own council web site.

Offline Search Tool For staff who do not have access to the internet Lincs includes a unique offline search tool which allows the database to be interrogated from any Windows PC.

Printed Directories Lincs makes it easy to produce formatted, fully indexed printed directories from your community information database. Printed directories may include just a few records to meet some particular customer request or cover the whole directory.

Advanced Indexing System The Lincs indexing system is designed to ensure that customers searching the database find the information they require quickly. The index consists of over 500 keywords. Each keyword is linked to others by standard indexing relationships such as 'broader term', 'narrower term' etc and can have multiple synonyms.

Mail Merge When it comes time to update your database Lincs fully supports mail-merge to ensure a professional result.

Import Data from Old Systems Data Diction, in most cases, can take your old community information database and convert it into the Lincs format for no additional charge.

Low Cost There are no upfront joining fees or hidden costs with Lincs. Annual membership of the service is a flat $4000+GST.
