Co-operating with other Councils
Reduce duplication of effort by co-operating with other like-minded organisations.
LINCS members take on responsibility for keeping a subset of records up to date while getting access to the total set of records maintained by the group. Each Council member generally looks after records in their LGA. Data Diction maintains National and Statewide records and IDEAS has responsibility for records of services for people with disability and NDIS services. LINCS can also be used as a standalone database maintenance system.

Maintaining Information
Information in the database is maintained through a series of easy to understand web-based forms.
Update information quickly, easily and efficiently using automatically dispatched emails. Each year records will go through a checking process. This is largely automatic but may require the member to approve requested changes or follow up services that are unable to be updated automatically. All indexing of records is carried out by Data Diction.

Public Searches, Online directories and Publishing
Search by Name, Keywords, postcode or locality and sort searches by closest suburb.
Browse using online directories. Searchers can browse various online directories that are customized for each LGA or region.
Search results or browse lists are displayed with nearest services displayed first but can also be displayed as a multi-pin map, an a-z list or select to show phone based services only.
LINCS includes a tool designed to simplify the process of creating printed directories.

Training and Support
Training and support is organised over the internet using web based screen sharing software and there is also comprehensive documentation available.

Website Integration
The LINCS search engine can be integrated into the Council website in several different ways. We can customize your version to blend into your web site’s style and colours, logos, and images can be incorporated.

Mobile first, responsive design ensures a consistent experience across all modern smartphones, tablets, laptops or desktops. Apple (Mac or iPhone), Android and Windows supported. Your directory integrates with the LINCS smartphone app for Apple and Android phones.

Secure and Private
Data encrypted at rest and in transit. Audit trail to track changes. Daily backups kept for one month. Monthly backups kept for a year. Your data is hosted on reliable and secure Sydney based AWS (Amazon) server infrastructure.
