Description: Assistance Dogs Australia provides highly trained and accredited Assistance Dogs to people with physical disabilities, autism, and PTSD, as well as Educational Support Dogs for schools and Facility Dogs for institutions such as prisons and courts. Our mission is to enhance inclusion and connection for people with disabilities. Assistance Dogs Australia receives no ongoing government funding, relying instead on public donations and partnerships with corporate sponsors, foundations and trusts, and philanthropists. It takes two years to train an Assistance Dog, which is provided to the client at no charge.
