Description: Interpreting service provided by the Department of Home Affairs for people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds and for agencies and businesses that need to communicate with their CALD clients. Provides: Immediate telephone interpreting; ATIS automated voice-prompted immediate telephone interpreting; Pre-booked telephone interpreting; On-site interpreting; Illegal Maritime Arrival (IMA) interpreting; Remote video interpreting. The TIS National immediate telephone interpreting service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year for any person or organisation in Australia who needs an interpreter.
