Description: Chatswood Intensive English Centre is in the grounds of Chatswood High School. Chatswood IEC provides intensive English language instruction, orientation, welfare and settlement support to newly arrived high school aged students. We provide an Intensive English Program (IEP) as preparation for students entering their local NSW government high school. Students are assessed on enrolment and placed in an age appropriate and English level appropriate class where they study English, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music and personal development. The average length of stay at the IEC is 35 weeks, after which time students are transitioned to their local government high school.
