Description: Bushcare is a community environmental program supported by Mosman Council that encourages locals to participate in the protection and restoration of remnant urban bushland. No experience is necessary as onsite training is provided. Bushcare activities involve: regeneration of bushland areas, maintaining areas, protecting, restoring and creating habitat for native fauna and replanting when required. Volunteers are welcome to join any of the Bushcare groups currently working in Mosman. Please contact the Bushcare Officer for a current timetable. Mosman Council also supports an "Individual" Bushcare program where residents that live immediately next to bushland can work on Council land. If you would like to start your own Bushcare group, Council can assist you. Contact the Bushcare Officer for more information.
