Description: Provides an animal shelter which re-homes unwanted animals, a public veterinary hospital, animal ambulance service, training programs, surrender of animals and cruelty inspectors to enforce animal welfare laws. Also provides emergency boarding programs such as Community Homelessness Program (for homeless pet owners), Community Domestic Violence Program (domestic violence victims), & Community Aged Care Program (senior pet owners that may require hospital stays). The Animal Shelter is open everyday from 9.30am-3.15pm (closed public holidays) for adoptions & reclaims. Animal surrenders are accepted 9:30am-3pm weekdays by appointment (closed public holidays). The veterinary hospital is open 9.30am-7pm weekdays, 9.30am-12.30pm weekends (closed public holidays). Stray animals should be taken to the local pound.
