Description: Following support of the Melville Bird Sanctuary by Melville Council and DBCA in June 2023, the mission of Friends of Melville Bird Sanctuary (FoMBS) is to increase community awareness of birds and their habitats through educational events including bird walks and birdcounts; to protect and strengthen our natural environment, and to provide sanctuary for and grow our bird population for the benefit of the community of current and future generations.

Volunteering: * Assist with regular bird counts at Alfred Cove and Pt Walter * Assist with reporting bird disturbances within MBS boundaries * Assist with organising Birdwatching Walks * Assist with organising other events * Meet and greet at events *Associated skills such as photography, computer, secretarial, Excel *Participate on Committee

Hours: Any assistance however big or small is welcome
