Description: The Sustainability Advisory Committee assists Council in the prioritisation and implementation of strategies and initiatives to achieve sustainability as set out in Council's long-term Sustainability Action Plan. The committee meets five times per year on a Wednesday at 6pm. The SAC consists of: Five residents of Lane Cove appointed from public nominations; One youth representative nominated by the Lane Cove Youth Advisory Committee; One business representative nominated by the Lane Cove Chamber of Commerce; One representative nominated by the Lane Cove Bushland Management Advisory Committee; Three Councillors; and A member of staff Nominations for community positions on the SAC are advertised following each General Election of Council. Casual vacancies may be advertised from time-to-time.
