Description: Women’s Shed Hornsby Ku-ring-gai (WSHK) connects women in the area from a diverse linguistic and cultural background, providing opportunities for them to nurture their creativity, wellbeing and skills in a safe, inclusive and thoroughly supportive environment. WSHK is a not-for-profit community-based collaboration between the PCYC Hornsby Ku-ring-gai, IABBV Hindi School Inc., Ku-ring-gai Neighbourhood Centre (KNC), SAHELI (SEWA), the Community Migrant Resource Centre (CMRC), and the Accounting Guru. The WSHK is also a key partner of the Hornsby Village Hub a new community led initiative for Seniors with an aim to tackle social isolation and loneliness experienced by older Australians 55+ and Indigenous 50+. Hornsby Shire Council and Sydney North Health Network have partnered to establish the Hornsby Village Hub together with community partners; therefore, men are also encouraged to join our wellbeing activities.

Volunteering: Yes. There are plenty of volunteering opportunities available as we are a community run organisation but only come forward to help if you are really passionate about giving back to the community.
