Description: Centacare Employment and Training is a not-for-profit registered training organisation that offers programs, courses and support services to people in the Perth community who are looking to learn new skills or obtain the qualifications necessary to go on to further study, training or employment. Centacare offers a range of courses under our Vocational Education and Training (VET) Program which target key labour shortage or job growth areas such as Aged Care, Disability Services.
We welcome job seekers of all ages from a wide range of cultural backgrounds to join our multicultural student population, including youth and mature-age students, migrants and refugees, and Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. Our training and employment programs are delivered from several locations including our head office in West Perth and other training sites in Cannington, Gosnells, Fremantle and Armadale.
Volunteering: Our Volunteer Tutors are the key to providing support to our teachers in the SEE Program and help with a range of activities in the classroom including: One-on-one support to help students with reading, writing and/or numeracy to reinforce teacher-led activities; Facilitating conversational groups; Supporting computer activities. Successful applicants to the Volunteer Tutor Program are invited to participate in a comprehensive 8-10 week training program (1 morning per week).
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
