Description: Parky People welcomes people with Parkinson's disease, their friends and carers to meet and share stories, offer support and participate in awareness and community based activities (a choir, exercise classes, craft club, walking group). Our monthly meeting is held at the Mt Colah Community Centre. We chat, share ideas and latest research, and usually have a guest speaker. The exercise classes meet fortnightly at the Mt Colah Community Centre. The choir meets weekly at the Seniors' Centre, Turramurra. We also have an extensive library of books and DVDs about Parkinson's Disease which members can borrow. 90 members
Volunteering: Yes. We are always happy to welcome new people on our organisational committee, and to assist and join in our choir, exercise classes etc.
Hours: Meets 10am-12pm on the 1st Friday of the month
Disability facilities: No stairs, disabled toilets
