Description: The Local Studies Collection is a special collection of historic and current material on all aspects of the Canterbury Bankstown area with collections located at Bankstown Library & Knowledge Centre Level 2 and Campsie Library & Knowledge Centre Amy Street, Campsie. The collection includes aerial slides, books and periodicals, Council minutes, local newspapers, maps and subdivision plans, oral histories, photographs, and videos. The Genealogy collection, also located at Bankstown and Campsie libraries, offers research material in a range of formats for tracing your family tree. Resources include Births, Deaths and Marriage indexes for all Australian states, Sands Directories, cemetery records, electoral rolls, passenger and shipping records, and probate indexes, also in library access access to Ancestry and Findmypast databases at all libraries
Hours: Bankstown Branch Mon-Fri 9am-8pm; Sat 9am-4pm; Sun 1pm-4pm- check each location
