Description: Social enterprise hotel, including comfortable accommodation, restaurant and bar. The Hotel facilitates a work, training and live-in program for people with disabilities, enabling them to transition to open employment and become more independent. During Hotel Etico’s independence program, trainees are supported to participate and contribute to the day-to-day operation of the hotel and restaurant rotating through a range of hospitality roles. At the heart of the Hotel Etico’s Independence program is the Academy of Independence, a dedicated apartment within the hotel where hospitality trainees stay on their rostered work days providing a setting to experience supported independent living. The Hotel Etico Independence Program targets young adults with intellectual disability, who are interested in becoming hospitality professionals and live a more independent life.
