Description: Provides a range of services, including inpatient and outpatient services in the local community to children, ​adolescents and their families with a range of difficulties that are seriously impacting on their mental health and emotional well being. The unit has 9 beds and is open 24/7 for patients and visitors alike. Parents and guardians are able to stay over night. The Westmead unit provides inpatient services for those 18 and under only, with Cumberland Hospital providing inpatient services for youth between 18-25 in the adult wards. Specialist programs include: School-Link, Perinatal Services and Redbank House. Redbank House Provides a tertiary assessment and treatment centre for children, adolescents and their families experiencing severe, complex and treatment resistant mental health problems and disorders.
