Description: The Museum tells the stories of Australia’s third oldest mainland settlement. The Museum precinct includes the permanent exhibition “Land, River, People”, temporary exhibitions and historic Howe House, with furnishings and displays that reflect its many uses over more than 200 years of history. The Museum is also a Visitor Information Centre, specialising in information on the Hawkesbury region. The Museum Education Program is designed to meet the themes of the new History Curriculum for Stages 1 – 3. The program is interactive, informative and accessible, providing students with unique hands on experiences and expert local knowledge. Contact the Museum for bookings. Public holidays: Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday. Open 10am-4pm other public holidays
