Description: This is an assessment, diagnosis and counselling service for deaf and hearing impaired children/adolescents and their families. The service is provided free of charge to any deaf child in NSW. It is staffed by a multidisciplinary team which includes medical, allied health and educational personnel. The centre provides: - advice on the cause of deafness, genetic counselling, diagnosis of additional physical, intellectual, or learning difficulties, management of behaviour and emotional difficulties, information and support. Newborns diagnosed by newborn screening program.
