    To search this database:

    • First, set the location to your town or suburb. The current location is shown just above the 'Find' box above. It is important to do this so that, when you do a search, your nearest suitable services can be listed first.
    • Enter, in the Find box above, part of the name of the service (eg red cross), the type of service (eg long day care) or a medical condition (eg diabetes).
      The terms you enter will be matched against the start of words in all records in the database. Word order and letter case are ignored.
      Dont enter too much. Often just three or four letters from the start of a significant word is all you need (eg diab is enough to match records relating to diabetes).
      Once you have entered the search text click either "Search Name" for name searches or "Search Keywords" for service type searches.
    • Alternatively, you can select from the list of subjects on the right and progressively narrow down your selection.
