Location: cnr Segenhoe St and Avenal St, Arncliffe NSW 2205

Description: Works in partnership with parents and the learning support team to determine the most appropriate option to meet the needs of children with an identified disability; identify the resources available to support the child's enrolment and to arrange access to services as required. Students with disabilities can be enrolled in regular classes with additional support, in a support class in a regular school or in a special school. An appraisal of the child's needs is firstly undertaken by the learning support team and coordinated by the school where enrolment is sought in a regular class. Where the learning support team believes that the level of support requires alternative enrolment options, support class or special school, the Disability Programs Consultant will negotiate enrolment options with parent and current school. Private schools are not included in this program.
