Description: Local film enthusiasts, with the generous support of Hurstville City Council and other sponsors, have established a local, non-profit film group for the St. George region. There was a great need for a film group to quench local film enthusiast's desire for a forum that allows for the viewing and discussion of a variety of films. The Filmseen promotes appreciation of a wider range of culturally and diverse films, which are of particular interest to the locals residing in the St. George area. These include foreign films, independent films, arthouse films, classics and short/feature films by local film makers. Screenings are monthly. Rather than a passive activity film viewing will be interactive, with discussions following the films, special guest speakers and tea and coffee.

Fees: $20 for three months, $30 for six months, or $50 for twelve months.

Description: CASS runs two seniors groups: they are the Hua-An seniors Group which meets every Wednesday at CASS Activity Centre, and the Hua-Kang seniors Group which meets every Thrusday and Friday at the Senior Citizens and Community Centre in Hurstville. Both groups provide an opportunity for the Chinese-speaking seniors people to have social gatherings and healthy activities. These include aerobic dances, Tai-chi practice, English lessons, news reading, seminars and excursions.

Description: The St. George BUG (Bicycle User Group) is a community group promoting cycling in the Hurstville, Kogarah and Rockdale Local Council Areas. We go on social rides, have fun and enjoy the company of others, encourage ALL the family to enjoy this great recreation, ride all types of bicycles, tricycles and recumbents, lobby all levels of government to provide better facilities, lobby business to encourage use of bicycle for work and shopping, by providing safe, secure facilities. New members are always welcome. You will get to meet like minded people and have fun, improve your health and fitness, learn about bicycle safety and maintenance.

Fees: No charge for first three rides. $15 for first year. Renewal is $10 per year.
