Description: Microchipping and lifetime registration of cats and dogs is now compulsory. They must be chipped by 12 weeks of age for lifetime identification, and registered with Council by six months of age. A collar and identification tag in case they get lost is also a good idea. Pets must be kept out of wildlife protection areas.
