Description: Community Centre with a focus on older people, people with a disability, new migrants, parents and families and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Events, services and activities for older people and people with a disability include: Meals On Wheels and centre based lunches, an in-home linen service, online and assisted shopping, assisted transport, friendly home visiting, volunteer home handyman, information, referral, counselling and advocacy. A range of social and recreational activities includes: bus and movie outings, special events (e.g. Xmas in July, Melbourne Cup), internet kiosk, computer club, indoor bowls, canasta, mah-jong, tai chi, yoga, feldenkrais. Support for new migrants includes: casework and information sessions, homework help and English conversation classes. A community shower is available for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. A program of parent education seminars targets young families, with some sessions available in Japanese.

Volunteering: Opportunities exist in all of the Centre's services and activities. Volunteer training and support is provided. Please phone the Centre's Volunteer Coordinator on 02 9439 5122 for further details.
