Description: We have advisers who help non parent carers, such as grandparents, who provide ongoing care for children.
Grandparent Advisers give tailored help if you’re a non parent carer such as:
a grandparent carer
a foster carer
a kinship carer.
Grandparent Advisers can help you, even if you aren’t currently getting a payment or service from us.
Being a grandparent or non parent carer is more than helping parents with babysitting or school pick-ups.
They can give you information about Centrelink, Medicare or Child Support. They can also refer you to federal, state and community services in your area.
