Description: healthdirect is a government-funded, 24-hour national health information and advice service, accessible to all Australians via phone, website and mobile app. Callers to the phone service speak with a registered nurse who is qualified to make over the phone assessment of symptoms and to give medical advice and referrals to local health services using the National Health Services Directory. People with health concerns can also use the online healthdirect Symptom checker on the website or phone app.
