Description: Specialist support for people aged over 50 years who have severe symptoms of Hoarding Disorder or live in domestic squalor. Staff of CCNB work with individuals in their own home to consider best options and connect them to services to support their health, independence and safety in the home and living environment (including animal safety). CCNB makes referrals to specialist medical care as needed, while focusing on broader life goals, social connections, physical health, spiritual health and emotional wellbeing. Hoarding is a behavior pattern that includes excessive acquisition of and an inability or unwillingness to discard large quantities of objects in the home's living areas.
