Description: Provides interpreters to deaf, hard of hearing or deafblind adults and children who use sign language and would like an interpreter for private health appointments. It is FREE of charge to sign language users who are not eligible for NDIS, and health practitioners Australia-wide. Medical Interpreting services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are provided for both private and public health care appointments. NABS offers Video Remote Interpreting, which allows sign language users and health care providers to communicate using the internet when an interpreter cannot be onsite at the appointment. Free NABS app can be downloaded from the NABS website. NABS is a registered NDIS provider.
