Description: Concord Hospital is a 550-bed teaching hospital of the University of Sydney. The hospital has a long tradition of providing care to the Veteran community and following our integration into the NSW State Health System in 1993 we provide health care to the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond. Concord offers a comprehensive range of specialty and sub-specialty services. We provide a 24-hour Emergency Department as well as inpatient and ambulatory care facilities. Concord Hospital has upgraded its accommodation and services to facilitate the integration of inpatient and ambulatory care services. Through recognition of the nationwide need for the provision of better care for veterans, the National Centre for Veterans’ Healthcare (NCVH) was developed. The Centre is an outpatient service of Concord Hospital providing world-class care to Australia’s veterans to help to achieve optimal mental and physical well being through an integrated healthcare model.
