Description: Works in the spinal units of Sydney hospitals, regional areas of NSW and in the community. Peer support focuses on helping people with spinal cord injury to regain their independence, whatever that looks like for them, so they can participate in the community as they would like. From information and education sessions in rehab, to workshops and social events in the community, our peer support team share their lived experience on a range of practical topics such as wheelchair skills, learning to drive, employment, relationships, travel (from catching public transport to going on an overseas trip) and everything in between.
