Description: Appointed by NSW Department of Lands to manage the Katandra Bushland Sanctuary Reserve (R86487) dedicated to the study & preservation of the native flora & fauna of the Sydney Region. The sanctuary covers 12 hectares, with short walks of about 1 or 2 km. Meetings for supporters/volunteers 3 times per annum(visitors welcome). Katandra is open for self guided bushwalks 10am to 4pm Sundays from July to October. Guided walks available to special interest groups by arrangement.

Volunteering: Help with Sanctuary maintenance usually the third Sunday of the month in March, April, May, June, July, September, October and November.
