Description: Within the Catholic Education system, resources for children with disability are primarily to support children integrated into regular classes. This support is provided by special education teachers or their assistants and by itinerant teachers. There are also a small number of special schools. Contact the State Manager for advice and assistance on Catholic school options and resources for children with special needs. Assisted School Travel Program for Students. The Centre provides direct assessment and intervention services for students in rural and remote primary schools who are experiencing complex reading difficulties.
