Description: Wirringa Baiya is a state-wide community legal centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, children and youth who are, or have been victims of violence. Wirringa Baiya provides free legal advice, advocacy, information, casework and referrals. The Centre provides community legal education and participates in law reform activities. Wirringa Baiya pays special attention to working with Aboriginal women and children and victims of violence as a result of domestic and family violence, and sexual assault. Wirringa Baiya also provides limited cultural awareness education.
