Description: Provides sign language interpreting services to professional service providers, government agencies, deaf people and their families. Interpreters are available Australia-wide. Interpreters can be booked for a variety of settings; such as in public hospitals; legal and mediation; conferences and meetings and educational settings or when seeking financial advice. All public hospital appointments are FREE for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander sign language users. This service provider offers Video Remote Interpreting, which allows sign language users and service providers to communicate using the internet when an interpreter cannot be onsite at the appointment. NICSS is an approved NDIS provider as an activity of Wesley Mission Queensland.
