Description: The Society aims to enable women novelists, playwrights, poets, journalists and freelance writers to meet and network and to attend seminars and workshops. The Society also aims to encourage aspiring writers to achieve professional status. Holds poetry and short story competitions and administers various awards. This organisation is for writers who write in English. Meets at Dixson Room, Mitchell Wing, State Library of NSW, Macquarie Street, Sydney, on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, except in January.
