Description: Advice regarding COVID-19: please call the listed number or visit: www.localcourt.justice.nsw.gov.au/Pages/coronavirus.aspx. The local court has criminal and civil jurisdictions. It deals with the majority of criminal and summary prosecutions in New South Wales, as well as civil matters up to $100,000. The local court also determines other applications such as apprehended violence orders and appeals relating to driver's licences. The court has limited jurisdiction under the Family Law Act 1975 to hear and determine family law matters. The local court can deal with applications such as property settlements and residence orders. (Applications for marriage are handled at the Parramatta Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, 160 Marsden St, Parramatta.)

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm (Registry hours), 8:30am-4:30pm (Telephone hours)
