Description: Peak body for Blue Mountains community sector. Works with funded/unfunded groups & disadvantaged communities, developing social justice collaborations & networks. Convenes the BM Community Interagency (BMCI); the Mountains Multicultural Interagency (MMI); Homelessness Prevention & Early Intervention (HOPE) Interagency; Recovery, Resilience & Preparedness Group; and (in partnership with Council) form the Backbone of the Stronger Families Alliance. Supports other inter-agencies such as YMISA and CAVA. Auspices a variety of local community groups. Provides facilitation, communication, co-ordination, support and resources to management committees, workers and unpaid activists. Represents the Mountains on other BM inter-agencies and regional forums.
