Location: Building 20 Balcombe Heights Community Buildings, Seven Hills Rd, Baulkham Hills 2153

Description: Our main role is helping the community prepare for and respond to storms and floods. We train every week in a wide variety of skills including first aid storm and water damage response, community education and working with the media. We may also be called to assist the Police with searches and to help other emergency services such as the Rural Fire Service or the NSW Fire Brigade. Our duties can include logistics, transport, administration, working in a emergency operations centre, catering warning the public, traffic and crowd management and radio communications. Minimum age 18 years. Subject to Police check.

Volunteering: Training in Intro to SES, Communications, Land Search, Flood Awarness, Flood Rescue, Storm and Water Damage, Rescue Skills, USAR, Chainsaw, Map Reading and Flood Boat to name a few.
