Bucketty Tidy Bush Community

Phone: 0418 438 183

Location: Bucketty Fire Station, 5385 George Downes Drive, Bucketty NSW 2250

Description: We are a small community scattered over a large bush area. Surrounded by National Parks, we have a strong focus on environmental issues. We have had special projects for both flora and fauna. There is also a very close relationship between the Bucketty Bush Fire brigade and our organisation. We have been participating in the annual clean up day since the mid 1990s. With many aboriginal sites as well as the Great North Road running through our community' history is another key focus of attention. We were involved in establishing the Convict Trail Project and are active participants in this organisation. Murrays Run was settled in the early 1800s and also fits into this historic context. Together with the Fire Brigade we have been organising the annual Christmas Carols in Bucketty for over 20 years.
