Description: Strathfield Park is one of the oldest parks in the Municipality. Dedicated in 1914 it is Strathfield's favourite park, popular for large community functions. The park offers the visitor a unique and diverse number of recreational opportunities, from structured sports to more private areas for Tai Chi exercise and picnics. The landscape is informal with many statuesque trees growing amongst shrubs and ground covers. This design has created outdoor rooms or compartments that give the visitor a sense of isolation and intimacy even when visitor numbers are high. Strathfield Park is perfect for any event. Toilet facilities. BBQ and playground areas as well as three quality sports grounds. Of notable merit, is the large level 12km walking track that loops around the park and meets equal access standards.
