Description: The Multicultural Liaison Officers (MCLOs) are specialized civilian officers working in NSW Police Force responsible for providing advice and support in the management of multicultural issues. They establish and maintain close personal rapport, implement strategies to engage and work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities and influence responsive and sensitive delivery to these communities. Currently there are over 30 MCLOs across Sydney Metro, Wollongong and Newcastle. There is a MCLO working at Ku-ring-gai Police Area Command covering majority of Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby Shire Council.
