Description: A comprehensive educational program for children aged 4-17 years diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum. This independent day school offers primary and secondary classes, with the main campus in Forestville and satellite classes in mainstream schools at Forestville, St Ives, Mona Vale, Lane Cove and Eastwood. The curriculum is based on the BOSTES Syllabus, and utilises the Aspect Comprehensive Approach for Education to emphasise the areas of communication, social skills, sensory issues and behaviour. The Learning Support Team includes senior education staff, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and a Psychologist. Each student's Individual Education Plan is developed with the family. The school is based on a transition model towards less autism-specific educational environments. It implements Positive Behaviour Support, and values the "different brilliance" of each child, focusing on their strengths and special interests.
